Study trajectory exhibited: from 2D sketch design concept to 3D scale model in clay and finally in plexiglass.

Concept

Two figureheads connecting Maassluis Centrum with the maritime heart of Maassluis, LOODS M.

Objective

Creating a sculptural link between the city center and LOODS M. Glass sculptures emphasize the maritime identity and support cultural activities related to history, art and community.

Material

Thick laminated glass sheets, resistant to vandalism. Glass evokes water — essential to the identity of Maassluis.
