Bikkel Artist

Bikkel Artist (Curaçao, 1948) is a glass artist and painter whose work is defined by powerful colour, spontaneity and emotional intensity. She graduated with exceptional distinction from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam in 2002. Working independently, she developed three cycles within her oeuvre: the Open Line, the Dense Line and the Free Line — an ongoing exploration of transparency, movement and inner energy. Her work is represented in museum and private collections, including Museum Voorlinden and The Curaçao Museum. In addition to her artistic practice, she is active in international art networks and has served as Chair of World Art Games The Netherlands since 2011.
